Work Release officials confirm that police arrested escapee John Carter just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in the East Lynn area of Wayne County.
He is being processed at the Western Regional Jail.

Authorities are searching for a work release inmate who they say is missing from the work release center on Brooks Street in Charleston.
Officials say 29-year-old John Carter failed to report back to the center after a furlough to his father's house. He was in custody for two counts of second degree arson. His last known address is 49 Clay Branch Road in East Lynn which is in Wayne County.
Carter is 6-feet tall, 180 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
