Chef Robert Wong, owner of the Bridge Road Bistro, has passed away.
Witnesses say Wong was playing tennis right before he collapsed on the court.
Wong has had a fine culinary career.
According to All American Speakers, Wong's restaurants are considered to be some of the State’s premier dining destinations.
Wong, who is originally from San Francisco, California, was accepted into The Culinary Apprenticeship Program at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia in 1985.
During his career he's been featured in national publications such as Gourmet Magazine, The Washingtonian and USA Today among others.
