With temperatures reaching 90 degrees for the third day in a row, we are in an official heat wave and lot of people were trying to find ways to stay cool on Memorial Day.
The Kanawha City pool was packed. It was so full, people had to wait until other swimmers left to get in. The Kanawha City pool is the only Charleston city pool open so far this year.
The rest of the pools are set to open on Wednesday, but the North Charleston and Vandalia pools may not open at all this year.
Over in Hurricane, a lot of kids were cooling off at the new spray park at Hurricane City Park. The grand opening hasn't happened yet, but it's already a popular attraction.
Parents say its a great option, especially for little kids, to be outside and splash around.
The spray park is free and operated by the city of Hurricane.
