What started out as a missing persons case on Wednesday night took a turn for the worst just a few days later on Saturday morning. 55-year old Robert "Bob" Snow went missing Wednesday night. He was a district manager for 7-Eleven and oversaw stores around the area. Snow was supposed to show up at an interview at a 7-Eleven in Kanawha City around 6:30 that night, but he never made it. Then on Thursday, his car was found on Westmoreland Avenue. His girlfriend, Rebecca Castle says the last time she saw him was before he left for the interview Wednesday. "He hugged me, told me he loved me, and said he would call me in a little while," said Castle. Eyewitness News talked to Rebecca and her daughter early Saturday morning. Both of the women hoped and prayed that Snow would be found alive. They pleaded to our cameras for Snow to come home. "There was never a problem. I mean we took him in as our family. And he looked at me as his only girl, and I just don't understand," said Castle's daughter, Wendy Reynolds. But just minutes after that interview, police got a call that would change the story of Snow's mysterious disappearance. "Boaters discovered a body in the Elk River behind the water company and we have identified it as our missing person Robert Snow," explained Sgt. Bobby Eggleton. Investigators swarmed the riverside and searched for clues on how he ended up in the river. But they say it appears it was no accident and they believe he was murdered. "He appears to be a very legitimate citizen. Not that all victims aren't but Mr. Snow didn't appear to live a lifestyle that would find him in the river," said Eggleton. Now a missing persons case has turned into a homicide investigation, with police trying to find out who killed Snow and why. "We're gonna do everything we can like we do all of them to bring his killers to justice," said Eggleton. Police wouldn't say how Snow was killed or what evidence they found near his body. If you have any information on the murder of Robert Snow, call 304-348-6480. ----------------------------- Police say the body found in the Elk River Saturday afternoon is that of 55-year-old Bob Snow.
