Deputies say 52-year-old Timothy Butcher of Cabin Creek was operating an ATV with no lights, no helmet and no driver's license when the 4-wheeler collided with a coal truck in the area of Wet Branch about 9 last night.
He was thrown from the ATV. Deputies suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Butcher was taken to Charleston General Hospital. His condition is not known by deputies.
