George Jones fans will have to wait a little longer than expected to see him perform the tri-state area.
The Country Music Hall of Famer was set to perform in Huntington on June 2nd. That show has been rescheduled for Friday, September 21st at 7:30 p.m at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
According to a statement from his publicist, the legendary country singer was admitted to a hospital in Nashville on Monday afternoon, where he will undergo testing and evaluation for a lingering upper respiratory infection. Jones’ illness has forced him to reschedule tour dates through June.
All previously purchases tickets for the June date will be honored at the show. Tickets are still available starting as low as $25 dollars. You can get your tickets at the Arena Box Office, ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
