A body pulled from the Kanawha River is identified as a missing Charleston man who hadn't been seen in more than a week. Tarone Taylor, 31, went missing on May 8th from his west side home. Since then, the family had launched a relentless search to find him. Now, they're feeling some closure as that search has come to an end. "We're not holding up very good, but at least we have some closure," said his father, Lewis Taylor. A grueling nine day search for his son, Tarone, ended in the Kanawha River in Dunbar. "It's been nerve racking everyday wondering where he's at, not knowing," said Taylor. Tarone, better known as "Rone," was last seen at his home. His family said he had health problems and was off of his medication when he disappeared. His mother, Deborah, spent her first Mother's Day without him that past Sunday. "Every Mother's Day since he's been born he's been with me," she said in an interview on Monday, when Tarone was still missing. A man cleaning his boat found Taylor's body near a dock Wednesday night. Police don't suspect any foul play in his death, but aren't sure exactly how he died yet. Police said his body was in the water for several days, and was only identifiable through a tattoo on his arm. Family members and friends had plastered the city with his picture and information, hoping someone had seen him. "That was the hardest part, not knowing, and wondering where he was at," said his father. Agonizing questions finally answered as family begins to say goodbye. "I just want the world to know that we love our son, Tarone. We know he loved us. We know he's with God in heaven and he's going to be well-missed," said his father. Taylor's family has started a memorial fund to help with his funeral expenses.
