Huntington continues to shape up with more businesses and development. A skate park has been pert of the plan for Harris Riverfront Park development for several years. Monday night, council re-allocated 130 thousand dollars that will eventually go toward the skate park.
Charles Holley, the Director of Development and Planning said that's not all the city plans for the riverfront area. "There are walkways that will connect pullman square to the riverfront as well. We hope to develop upscale restaurants or something that will be elevated like walkways on top of the flood wall. There are all sorts of things we see as big dream out there.
Holley says there's no timeline slated to begin construction on the skate park, he hopes to see it complete in the next year or so.
