A Kanawha County man is facing malicious wounding charges after deputies say a fight turned violent over the weekend.
According to a release from Kanawha County deputies David Eugene Elmore, 26, of Clendenin, allegedly got into an argument with Randall Woods, 51, of Laurel Fork Road.
Woods told deputies that Elmore hit him with a metal pipe during an argument. Woods received a laceration to his head and bruising on his upper body, and was taken to a Charleston hospital for treatment.
Elmore was arrested without incident and charged with Malicious Wounding. He remains in jail.
