Charleston Police charge a juvenile in connection to a brutal Charleston gas station beating.

They say a 17-year-old man severely assaulted James Queen, 27, at the Speedway on Corridor G early Tuesday morning.

All people in the video surveillance released on Thursday have been identified, but only the teen is charged with malicious wounding.

His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.

Queen remains in critical condition at a Charleston hospital.

A man is clinging to life after being severely beaten a Charleston gas station.

It's a case that could quickly turn into a murder investigation if the victim passes away.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Speedway on Corridor G. Now, police are asking for your help in finding whomever is responsible.

"It appears that all of them are together inside and moments later there's a beating," explains Lt. Steve Cooper.

Police are piecing together clues that's left James Queen, 27, of Logan fighting for life.

"He was beaten pretty severely. He did speak to police that night and he was aware of his surroundings," said Cooper.

Queen is currently in critical condition at CAMC General and is on life support.

Surveillance video was able to capture alot of what happened before the fight and what happened after the fight. But it didn't capture the fight itself, and that's where Charleston Police need your help.

Queen was likely traveling with the group police are trying to track down. They got out of a four-door white sedan and went inside the store. You can see the victim and a group of people standing together at the check-out line.

"It appears that they're together. It doesn't appear hostile inside and I don't know if they traveled there together. We're just not sure but they are all together at the beer cooler," said Cooper.

Police are specifically looking for a black male, with a ponytail. He was wearing yellow shorts and a black shirt and appears to skip across the parking lot after the fight.

They're also looking for a black male who was wearing a plaid, button-up shirt, and had his right arm in a sling.

"They are persons of interest. They are people that we want to talk to," said Cooper.

Police believe a woman, also seen in the video, was the driver of the white car. They're also trying to identify a man in the video who was wearing a Michael Vick jersey.

If you have any information, call Charleston Police at 304-348-6480.
