Embattled and suspended Magistrate, Carol Fouty, finally responded to allegations of wrongdoing.
Fouty admits to dismissing a drug charge against a woman who later worked in her home, but denies she violated any canons of ethics.
Fouty is also asking the Supreme Court to lift her suspension. She hasn't worked in about a month, and is requesting a hearing in hopes the court will reinstate her. She says her suspension is too severe of a punishment for the conduct involved and says she's suffering financial hardship.
The Supreme Court is expected to make a decision on whether or not to lift her suspension in the coming weeks. A hearing on the charges will be set sometime before August.
