West Virginia State University's Board of Governors has picked a new President.
Dr. Brian O'Harold Hemphill, the former Vice President of Student Affairs at Northern Illinois University is the new West Virginia State University President, effective July 1, 2012.
Early last year, former President Hazo Carter, received a no confidence vote from the Board of Governors. Carter held the position for 24 years.
