Firefighters responded to a familiar scene in Huntington Monday afternoon. That's because they have been dispatched to the same home for four fire calls this year.
Dispatchers say the latest fire at this home on 4th Street and 8th Avenue started around 1:30pm Monday. Instead of putting the fire out, they let it burn.
Earlier this month, a total of five juveniles were arrested in connection with a couple of arson investigations in the city. One of those investigations stemmed from this home; the other, in a wooded area near 22nd Street.
No word on what started the fire today.
Several juveniles are arrested after setting a couple of fires in Huntington earlier this week.
On Monday, neighbors say three children running away from a house that was allegedly set on fire for the third time this year.
Later in the day, two other juveniles allegedly set some woods on fire near 22nd Street.
All five were picked up Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were busy battling a fire to a familiar home Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 4pm at this home in the 400 block of 8th Avenue. Huntington Fire Chief Randy Ellis tells us that today's fire makes the third time this year that this same house has been set on fire.
We're told the fire was contained to one room and firefighters were able to get it under control quickly.
Neighbors in the area say they saw three juveniles running away from the house at the time of the fire. Huntington police are looking for those juveniles.
We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more on this developing story on Eyewitness News at 6pm.
