A shelter in place has been lifted after a small leak at the ICL-IP America Plant in Gallipolis Ferry.
Plant officials say a malfunctioning pump leaked a small amount of Phosphorus Trichloride liquid and Hydrochloric Acid in the air.
The liquid Phosphorus Trichloride was contained to the plant, but the Hydrochloric Acid fumes were not.
Hydrochloric Acid is most commonly used in swimming pools.
A spokesperson for the plant says no employees were injured.
The shelter in place was lifted shortly after the incident.
