A drive-by shooting damaged a doctor's office in Dunbar. It happened at the Westmoreland Office Complex sometime after midnight Tuesday.
Dunbar police believe someone driving by fired about 9 shots, they recovered the 22-caliber shell casings on the road. Four of the bullets hit Smith and Jones Chiropractic's building, busting out the glass door and hitting the window twice. The fourth bullet hit the top of the building. The bullet that went through the door, then went through two sets of walls inside. The bullet that shattered the window went through the waiting room and ended up in a door jam.
One of the doctors says he's just thankful it happened when the office was empty.
Police aren't sure why the building was shot but the police chief says one theory is someone may have been driving by and spotted a deer and decided to shoot. No arrests have been made.
The overnight shooting only caused a short disruption in service.
