A Huntington man is facing a long list of charges after police say he robbed another man in a violent attack. It happened around 9:30 Wednesday morning.
According to court documents, Phillip Gregory Johnson, 26, of Huntington broke into an apartment in the 1200 block of 10th Avenue. That's where police say Johnson began hitting John Michael Koonse in the face, then kicked him nearly to the point of unconsciousness and took his wallet.
Koonse was taken to a Huntington hospital for treatment. Johnson is charged with first degree robbery, burglary, and malicious wounding. He is being held on $150,000 dollars bond.
