Police are investigating a fatal accident in Putnam County.
It happened on Old Route 35 near Winfield High School around 6:30pm Friday.
Not many details are available at this time, but dispatchers say one person is dead.
Police told Mayor Randy Barrett that the woman who was driving had a heart attack and ran into a ditch. She died on the scene.
