A dress shop is making prom a little more special for some local girls.
The Rosetree Boutique in Ceredo teamed up with Alyce Designs to donate 50 new prom dresses to girls whose families were affected by recent spring storms. They say it feels good to know these girls will have a new gown after such a difficult time in their lives.
"It was a need, just like a dress for a cause, and it was mandatory. We're really thankful to get to be a part of being able to help people and make things easier," says manager / buyer Kathy Johnson.
Students in Russell, KY, Johnson and Boyd Counties, and Wayne High School in West Virginia received those dresses.
