An alleged child molester who's been on the run for two days, is behind bars. Kenneth Fraker, went to the courthouse Wednesday morning and turned himself in.
He's accused of sexually abusing five boys ages 12 to 16 and police fear there could be more victims. Police considered him armed and dangerous and issued a warrant for his arrest after the boys came forward to police, telling them they had been sexually abused by Fraker, who's from Eskdale in Kanawha County. The boys were family friends and say the alleged abuse happened while camping with him in Ritchie County.
"It seems from the witness statements, he would entice these young boys to go to his hunting cabin in Southern Ritchie County and then once they were there he would give them alcohol, show them pornography and give them drugs and perform these heinous acts on them," Sgt. Michael Baylous with the West Virginia State Police says.
Police say the abuse has been going on for the past five years.
When asked why he turned himself in, Fraker said, "Because it's the right thing to do."
Even though Fraker is from Kanawha County, since the alleged crimes happened in Ritchie County, he will be transported and tried there. Police are still asking if there are other victims to come forward. You can call 304-643-2101.
