According to the Associate Press, a portion of a road near the West Virginia Turnpike is open again after being temporarily closed because dynamite was found.
State Police had closed a portion of Cabin Creek Road on Monday afternoon after discovering a stick of dynamite beneath the underpass along W.Va. 61.
The area has been inspected and the dynamite removed.
Police are still trying to figure out how the explosive ended up along the roadway.
Route 61 near Chelyan is shut down after explosives are found in the area.
Dispatchers say State Police handling the investigation.
We're told Rt. 61 from Chelyaan to Wealthy Acres will be closed until crews clear the scene. You're asked to avoid the area.
