We now know the name of the man hit and killed by a train in Kanawha County Sunday afternoon.
Police say a Ezra Mullins was walking along the overpass on MacCorkle Avenue and 31st street in Kanawha City when he was hit by a CSX train and dragged about half a mile.
Police say the train sounded it's whistle but Mullins apparently didn't hear it in time.
Police want folks to remember walking on railroad tracks is dangerous. There are numerous underpasses and overpasses in Charleston where tracks can be safely crossed.

A man has been hit and killed by a train in Kanawha City.
It happened on 31st Street and Chesterfield Avenue around 2:30pm Sunday.
We're not for sure why the man was on the tracks or why he didn't hear the train.
We have been told the train dragged the man nearly a half of a mile.
The name of the victim hasn't been released.
