Flash flooding damaged at least 15 homes, ripped away driveways, and damaged public roads in McDowell County overnight. Squire, Berwind and Canebrake were hard hit. At least 200 people lost water service when utilities were damaged.
Canebreak Mountain Road was blocked by tons of rock and mud from the intense flash flooding near the Virginia border.
