The American Heart Association wants to get you up and moving.
Today has been designated National Walking Day by the organization. The event encourages people to get up and start moving.
West Virginia leads the nation in cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Studies show walking 30 minutes a day five days a week can help you lose weight, lower your cholesterol and steady your blood pressure.
The Heart Association recognized Coventry Health Care as an official "Fit Friendly Company." Only five businesses in the state have earned that designation.
