The Racine Volunteer Fire Department will be saying goodbye to one if its life long members, Wednesday.
Ronnie Dean Massey spent 39 years as a member of the volunteer fire department.
Massey started his teaching career at Pratt Junior High School in Kanawha County, became a teacher and a coach at Van, Nellis, and Wharton, and a principal at Wharton Jr. High School.
He also worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce and the West Virginia Department of Transportation for 31 years.
Massey was 63 years old.
Service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Racine Volunteer Fire Department.
