South Charleston detectives tell us that the alleged attempted abduction of a young girl that was reported Thursday is not what they originally thought.
Police tell us people in the community have now identified the individual as a mentally handicap man.
Detectives say it appears the man was using the bus stop to cross the street, as traffic was heavy at the time.

The South Charleston Police Department and the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation are investiating a fourth alleged attempted abduction, and this time the suspect is believed to be caught on surviellence video.
The South Charleston Police Department says they obtained video footage from a Kanawha County school bus on Jefferson Road Wednesday after it was reported that an older man ran after, and possibly tried to abduct, a young girl as she crossed the road.
Police believe there are two people working together. One man is described as 50-60 years of age, balding with grey hair and possibly a "pot" belly. The man may also have a "defective" or bad eye that he is unable to open. His height is unknown at this time. We do not have a description on the other man. They are still looking for a white box van.
Anyone with information is asked to contact either the South Charleston Police Department at (304) 744-4666 or the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office at (304) 357-0169.
