Now that spring has sprung, let the cleaning begin!

The DEP and the West Virginia Tire Disposal wants residents to bring their tires to select drop offs starting at the end of March. The following is a list of dates and drop off locations announced to date:


March 31, 2012 - Elkview, Kanawha County 8am-4pm

March 31, 2012 - The old Mingo County landfill, Mingo County from 8am-4pm

March 31,2012 - The senior center on Rt 219 at Lindside, Monroe County 8a-4p

April 14, 2012 - Institute , Kanawha County from 8am-4pm

April 14, 2012 - Clay @ Pierson Lumber, Clay County 8am-4pm

April 27 & 28, 2012 - Parkersburg @ Erickson Field, Wood County from 8am-4pm

April 28, 2012 - Old DOH garage at Rock View Rt. 10, Wyoming County 8am-4pm

April 28, 2012 - Wyoming County @ the Old DOH Garage at Rock View on Rt 10 from 8am-4pm. Tires on the wheel accepted.

April 30-May 5, 2012 - Mercer County @ the Kroger parking lot in Bluewell on Rt 52 from 9am-6pm

April 30 to May 5 - The Kroger Parkinglot in Bluewell on Rt 52, Mercer County from 9am-6pm

May 5, 2012 - WV Tire Disposal Rt. 39, Nicholas County from 8am-4pm

May 7-12, 2012 - Mercer County @ the L&M Market in Lashmeet on Rt 10 9am-6pm

May 14-19, 2012 - Mercer County @ Oakvale Town Hall on Rt 112 from 9am-6pm

May 21-26, 2012 - Mercer County @ Princeton TBD location

May 5, 2012 - Nicholas County @West Virginia Tire Disposal on Rt 39 from 8am-4pm. Tires on the wheel accepted.

May 12, 2012 - Fayette County @ Hawks Nest State Park on Rt 60 from 8am-4pm. Tires on the wheel accepted.

May 12, 2012 - Hawks Nest State Park on Rt 60, Fayette County from 8am to 4pm

May 14 to May 19 - Oakvale town hall on Rt 112, Mercer County from 9am to 6pm

May 18-19, 2012: Greenbrier County @ National Guard Armory in Rainelle on Rt 60 from 8am-4pm. Tires on the wheel accepted. This collection coincides with the Rainelle Mountain Pride Community Cleanup.

May 18 &19, 2012 - National Guard Armory in Rainelle on Rt 60, Greenbrier County from 8am to 4pm

May 21 to 26 - Princeton Location TBD, Mercer County from 9am to 6pm

June 16, 2012 - McDowell County @ War High School on Rt 16 from 8am-4pm.

June 19, 2012 - Copper Ridge Landfill entrance, CR 7 at Capels, McDowell County from 8am to 4pm
