One lane of Route 60 near Cedar Grove is back open Tuesday morning after a rock slide blocked the roadway starting around 8am.
Phil Moye with Appalachian Power tells Eyewitness News that it appears the driver of the AEP truck swerved to avoid hitting a rock already in the roadway as a result of the rock slide. It didn't take long for the other rocks to start slipping, making for a huge mess across both lanes of the road.
Moye says the driver of that AEP truck was taken to the hospital as a precaution and is okay. Dispatchers say one lane of Route 60 remains closed as of 11am Tuesday.
