Poca Mayor Patrick Hill has resigned, saying it's time to let someone else do the job.
Hill resigned last week at a Town Council meeting. He had won re-election in 2011.
He tells the Charleston Gazette that "it was just time to go."
Hill says former Putnam County Commissioner Jim Caruthers was appointed as mayor by the council. The position will be up for election in 2015.
