Putnam County dispatchers say two vehicles have collided head on along Route 34 in front of Hurricane High School.
The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday in the middle lane of the road.
Emergency responders say the driver of one of the vehicles may have fallen asleep before crashing into a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep and a 6-year-old were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Route 34 was closed while the accident was cleared.
