Three people are facing multiple charges including aggravated murder, after Scioto County, Ohio deputies say they killed a man and then set a truck on fire.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini says it happened around 8:15pm Wednesday in the 4400 block of Junior Furnace Powellsville Road.
That's where deputies and members of the Green Township Fire Department found the remains of a human body inside that truck.
Sheriff Donini says forensic technology reveals the identity to be that of 24-year old Felipe Lopez of Friendship. The body has been sent for an autopsy.
With the help of the State Fire Marshal's, detectives located the suspect vehicle where they found two alleged murder weapons and the victim's cell phone.
47-year old Thomas Henry Steinhauer of Portsmouth, 35 year old Raymond J. Linkous of Wheelersburg, and 37 year old and David K Gerald of Wheelersburg, Ohio have been arrested. All three are charged with a single count of Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Arson, Gross Abuse Of A Corpse, and Tampering With Evidence.
They are all being held on a $212,500 bond and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday.
Sheriff Donini says the investigation is ongoing at this time. If you have any information, call 740-351-1091 or the State Fire Marshals Office at 1-800-589-2728.
