Boone County deputies are asking for your help to find a missing man with numerous health issues.
Deputies say 33-year old Charles McCleese of Ottawa, West Virginia was last seen around noon on Wednesday at his family's home located on Spring Street in Ottawa.
Family members tell deputies that McCleese suffers from mental illness which causes him acts as a child, and that he also suffers from diabetes and blood pressure issues.
His family says that shortly before Charles was last seen, he made comments that he was going to his aunts home in Florida. They say he doesn't have the money or transportation to make that trip happen.
Deputies began searching for McCleese Wednesday night along WV Rt. 17. A tracking dog lost his scent along that roadway. Deputies say it appears that McCleese could have gotten into a vehicle there. Members of the Spruce River Volunteer Fire Department and other volunteers helped search the woods around that area, and the area around his home, but did not find any trace of him.
McCleese is described as 5'11" tall and approximately 220 pounds, with very short (shaved) brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light colored shirt with writing on it, light brown hiking boots, and dark blue or black windbreaker that has stripes around the sleeve around the bicep area.
McCleese also has a tattoo of a cross with a ribbon on his upper left arm and a noticeable scare on his forehead at his hairline.
