HUNTINGTON STANDOFF Man Allegedly Uses 2-Year Old As Shield During Standoff

A Huntington man allegedly used his toddler as a shield during a standoff with police on Wednesday.
47-year old Barry James was arrested and is in jail after police were called to investigate an incident with James' wife and 2-year old daughter.
According to the Associated Press, James had a shotgun and threatened to shoot officers if they came on his porch. James allegedly kicked two officers before being subdued. At one time, James allegedly brought the little girl outside, using her as a shield.
He is charged with assault and battery on a police officer, obstructing, child neglect creating risk of injury, and domestic battery. He remains in jail.
