A month after losing a son, brother, and an uncle, the James family is slapped with more insult to injury.
"We're trying to go on with our lives a little bit and find some closure," said Christina Hawk.
But closure is still far for this family. Shirley James' son and Christina Hawk's brother, Dennis Glen James was hit and killed while crossing Elk River Road in front of his home in January.
Wednesday morning, Christina woke up to find her car was egged. So was her parents' truck that is always parked in front of their home, just feet away from where Dennis was killed.
"We've lost our brother. He's gone. And now we're dealing with stuff that we shouldn't have to deal with," said sister of Dennis Glen, Christina Hawk.
22-year old Lynsey Taylor has been charged in James' death. Police say she hit him and drove off. Monday, she was released on a $150,000 bond.
"Why didn't she just stop? I mean, my son bled to death on the way to the hospital. I know she couldn't have done anything, but she could've stopped," said mother of Dennis Glen, Shirley James.
The family isn't blaming Lynsey Taylor for the vandalism. They're just looking for answers, so they can move on.
"I don't care if they come forward or not. I just hope they have a little more compassion because we're going through enough as it is," said Shirley.
