The fatal shooting in Chardon, Ohio is another sad chapter of student violence.
Witnesses say the gunman, whom they called a bullied outcast, took aim at a group of kids sitting at a table in the cafeteria.
Harassment is universal...and when these things happen efforts to identify troubled students invariably intensify.
There are reports the gunman made threats through either Twitter or text message. Kanawha County's superintendent says those situations are treated very seriously here.
With one teenager dead and four wounded in the Ohio shootings, Duerring says any time he hears of a school tragedy he thinks of the students in his care.
