A Portsmouth, Ohio woman is arrested for allegedly stealing close to $17,000 dollars from a woman she was supposed to be caring for.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini says 46-year old Renee Craft worked as a health care worker for the elderly victim. Sheriff Donini says Craft swiped the money from the the victim's account once she became her power of attorney.
Detectives started investigating the missing funds once the victim was placed in a health care facility. Craft faces felony charges of theft from the elderly. She remains in the Scioto County Jail without bond.
