Same sex couples held signs and chanted before going to the County Clerk's office to apply for a marriage license. Obviously they weren't granted one because of the law in West Virginia, but their point was to make people aware they have don't have the same rights at heterosexual couples.
Same sex couples met with opposition Tuesday morning. Counter protesters with Bibles in hand argued for more than an hour with gays and lesbians.
