A man charged with murder in a traffic crash that killed a Pike County deputy has plead not guilty.
Police say David Childers was driving an SUV on US 460 last month, when he crossed the center line and hit Deputy James Thacker's car head-on.
Officers say they found drug paraphernalia inside Childers' vehicle.
A grand jury indicted Childers on murder and persistent felony offender charges.
