Portsmouth , Scioto County , Ohio

An Ohio sex offender is back in jail Tuesday morning.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini says convicted sex offender Kailen M. Madden was arrested at a residence on Chapperail road in the West Union area Monday.

Madden had been on the run since December. He is charged with failure to verify, a third-degree felony, and failure to register a third degree felony.

Madden is in the Scioto County Corrections Center and is scheduled to appear in court later this week. He will face more charges when his case is presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury.

Scioto County deputies need your help to find a man wanted for sex crimes against a minor.

According to a release from Sheriff Marty V. Donini, his office has an active arrest warrant for 20-year old Kailen Madden of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Deputies say Madden was released from prison back in December of 2010 after spending a year in jail. Madden was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and is listed as a Tier II sex offender.

Madden reported in on July 1, 2011, and was supposed to report in six months later in December, but did not show up.

Madden is wanted on a charge of failure to verify, a third-degree felony, and failure to register a third degree felony. Madden will be extradited anywhere in the United States.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Kailen Madden, call Captain David Hall with the Scioto County Sheriff's Office at 740-354-7566.
