Dozens of friends and family honored 53 year old Carol Rhim of Charleston with a memorial service on Thursday, February 2nd.
They wore the color purple in support of domestic violence awareness.
Last month, Charleston Police say her boyfriend Nathaniel Lawton killed Rhim and dismembered her body before killing himself.
Rhim leaves behind four children, four brothers and a sister along with several grandchildren.
Family members say they hope people will remember Rhim for the life she lived and not the way she died.
