A drugged and drunk South Charleston mother whose baby was found smothered and crushed under her passed out body in May 2010 plead guilty to felony child neglect today. Leslie Erin Boggs faces up to 3-to-15 years when she is sentenced April 12, 2012.
Prosecutors say the child may have been dead for hours before paramedics were called after Boggs' boyfriend noticed 3-month-old Raynna Rea Boggs' legs sticking out from under Boggs.
Today she said she was very negligent in mixing alcohol with her prescription drugs. She will stay out of jail until sentencing on home confinement and may seek substance abuse treatment outside the home.
