The deadline is here for West Virginians to add their names to the May 8 primary ballots.
The candidate filing period ends at midnight Saturday.
Those wishing to take the plunge must visit the Secretary of State's office or have their filings postmarked by then.
More than 400 people have filed so far for federal, statewide and legislative races.
One of West Virginia's U.S. Senate seats and all three of its seats in the U.S. House of Representatives are up.
The state's congressional incumbents had all filed as of Friday except 3rd District Democratic Rep. Nick Rahall.
All six statewide executive branch offices are up this year, including that of governor. Democrats now hold all those seats.
Republicans had challengers for all except attorney general by Friday.
