A 31-year-old Charleston woman convicted of having sex with an eleven-year-old boy will get a sex offender evaluation before being sentenced.
Melissa Sigman was scheduled for sentencing today, but the judge granted her request for the evaluation to determine if she is likely to be a repeat offender.
Last September she plead guilty to one count of first degree sexual abuse in the incident involving a neighborhood youth in October 2010, The evaluation at Lakin prison is expected to take 60 days. She faces a possible five to 25 year prison term.
