A West Virginia University student has been cited for possession of an air gun after a campus wide alert was issued.
The university says campus police issued an emergency alert shortly after 12am Saturday after they got a report that an armed man was seen running into a fraternity house in the North High Street area of Morgantown.
The all clear was given at 1:18am after a BB gun was turned into Morgantown Police by its owner.
The university didn't give the student's name.
Nobody was hurt and no shots were fired.
Morgantown Police continue to investigate the incident.
