The family of a woman who has been missing since Tuesday says her body was found next to the highway in Cabell County this afternoon.
Huntington Police Chief Skip Holbrook tells Eyewitness News that two truck drivers spotted the body around 4:30pm along I-64 near the call center.
Police say Michele Popoff was an Amazon.com call center employee. Detective Rob Stinnett with Huntington's Detective Bureau says Popoff's family confirmed she had severe depression.
Police believe once Popoff found out her seasonal job at Amazon would soon come to an end, she left her car in the parking lot and took off into the woods.
Police say they believe Popoff walked down the hill at Kinetic Park, made a loop, then tried to walk back up to Amazon.com. Police believe she became hypothermic and she eventually died from the freezing temperatures.
