WATER MAIN BREAK Police Shut Down 40th Street Due To Break And Icy Conditions

A portion of 40th Street in Nitro is closed due to a water main break.
Initial reports indicated water was shooting 40 feet into the air.
40th Street from Bailes Drive to Easter Road is closed while crews clear the slush and salt the road.
Nitro Police expect the road to reopen around 7 a.m. Water company crews are expected to start repairs around 8:30 a.m. and traffic will be reduced to one lane as crews work to repair the break.
