Firefighters in St. Albans are still trying to determine the cause of a fire that multiple crews responded to on Wednesday morning.
It all started around 6am in the 4800 block of Browns Creek Road. Firefighters say the fire started in a corner of the home. Neighbors tell us that a man and his two nephews live there, but they were not home at the time.
Small explosions could be heard while that fire was working. Firefighters say those were caused by ammunition stored in the home.
Neighbors also tell us that one of the boys is in high school and got on the bus before the fire started; the other stayed the night at his girlfriend's house, and their uncle had already left for work.
