The Valu Rite Pharmacy in Poca just can't catch a break. They've become the victim of several break-ins over the past few years including Thursday morning.
Around 4:00 a.m., surveillance video captured three men shattering the front door of the store with a brick, then one by one the men crept into the store.
Owner Brac Brown has seen his fair share of these break-ins. The most memorable was in 2007 when Gary Dawson tried to rob the store at gunpoint. "Here you are...day to day making things work and taking the measures to try and make things work, and then someone just comes in because they feel like they can," said Brown.
The front door was repaired and now other windows are guarded with metal mesh to keep intruders out...not something Brown wants to do but something he feels like he has to do.
"It comes down to now a days sometimes you get the feeling like its "ok" to break glass and steal peoples' stuff...but its not," said Brown.
If you have any information on the three suspects, call the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 304-586-0256.
