Susan Webb is charged with first degree robbery and six counts of credit card fraud. During her preliminary hearing, she didn't have much to say on her behalf to our cameras. But the daughter of one of the alleged victims is hoping for justice.
On Wednesday, Webb waived her right to preliminary hearing. She's accused of taking the wallet of 90-year old Charles Overbaugh while at his home.
"She has fraudulently taken money from him, she took his truck joyriding one time, she stole his truck...was in possession of his truck," said Janet Armentrout, daughter of Overbaugh.
Police say Webb also targeted 85-year old Lorna Johnson at Foodland in Kanawha City--shaking the innocent woman to her core. "It pops up every so often and I just freeze. But I'm sure that's just nerves," said Johnson.
"We have video from numerous locations where she again financially victimized Mrs. Johnson with her credit cards, debit cards," said Chief of Detectives, Lt. Steve Cooper.
"Children and the elderly are two groups that we have the moral obligation to take care of," said Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Plants.
Webb's criminal history includes burglary, shoplifting, and forgery. Overbaugh's family is just happy Webb is locked up for now. Justice for them is a long sentence for a woman accused of preying on the defenseless.
"I want her away from him completely. If that means that she's in jail or prison or whatever," said Armentrout.
Webb is being held on a $80,000 cash only bond.
