When the Mountaineers take the field, especially in a big game like a BCS bowl, places like the Adelphia Sports Bar & Grille on Capitol Street reap the benefits.
Just a few blocks away, the big screens at the Embassy Suites Athletic Club will have the game...with fans able to quench their thirst with a little taste of Mountaineer Field.
But even if they don't want to be busy in the kitchen, many people prefer to watch the game in the comfort of their own home. Papa John's experiences about a 50 percent boost in sales when the Mountaineers play a big game.
With all of that food, there also needs to be plenty of cold beverages to wash it all down. Proud Eagle Distributing says its products fly off of the shelves every time the Mountaineers tee it up...but even more so when the game is an event like the Orange Bowl.
