Huntington Firefighters were able to get a house fire under control quickly on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency workers tell us two fires have been reported at this home on 4th Avenue Wednesday. No one was home at the time and no one was hurt, but the home did receive smoke damage. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

Firefighters are battling a house fire on Huntington's east end Wednesday afternoon. It happened just before 3:30pm at a home in the 2700 block of 4th Avenue. Dispatchers say heavy smoke was seen coming from the second floor windows. We're told the owner of that home was not there at the time. We'll bring you more information as it becomes available.
